I went to New York twice and each time it was during a snow storm, so unfortunately I don’t have a long list of places to offer you.
However, the hotels and restaurants, which left me with an incredible souvenir, were:
The Baccarat hotel (decorated by the architects Gilles and Boissier), I was lucky enough to stay there in January 2016 and according to me, it’s luxuriously charming, in the French style. Chic, elegant, refined and prestigious!
The advantage of this hotel is that it’s right in front of the MoMa museum, so if you feel like having a tea or even lunch, I would recommend going to the Grand Salon at the Baccarat Hotel, the iconic decoration is unbeatably beautiful!
Their spa has an immense swimming pool and their spa treatments are signed, La Mer.
During my second stay in November 2018, I enjoyed dining at the Mandarin Oriental « Asiate » restaurant, it’s absolutely exquisite!
With its Asian décor and panoramic view over the Columbus Circle and Central Park, the cuisine is subtle and revisited by the French chef, Cyril Renaud.
There is a romantic and soothing atmosphere, all my senses are stimulated, and I was completely bewitched!
What I absolutely recommend:
Main course: Beef, which is cooked in two ways (bourguignon and grilled), it was delicious.
Dessert: Raspberry soufflé, which is the best soufflé I have ever eaten until now, it’s the perfect mix of flavors, while remaining “light”!
Another place which I really loved, if you walk around Central Park, you can go have lunch at the Marea restaurant, which is a high-end Italian seafood restaurant.
